The book is intended, as the subtitle states, for practitioners, but it is very well laid out and extremely accessible and useful for patients as well. Even the patients' handbook is included in an Appendix.

This book provides a reminder of the importance of the skin's role in life. Anyone with a skin disorder is seriously affected psychologically as well as physically. Look for a new edition of this book to correct an earlier claim that eczema is caused by a mother's lack of physical affection for her child. 

7.3 What magazines are available? 

In the United Kingdom the National Eczema Society publish a quarterly magazine "Exchange". This costs GBP2.50 but is free to members of the society.
